Farming and Urban Living
Coolidge is a small farming community with approximately 12,000 residents and is located halfway between Phoenix and Tucson. Coolidge was originally built around the cotton growing industry. The city was founded in 1925 and incorporated in 1945, named after the 30th US President Calvin Coolidge. The city of Coolidge still produces cotton but many of the old cotton fields have become housing developments for a friendly growing town where families enjoy a casual lifestyle. Coolidge offers easy access to professional sports, car races, ballet, symphony, concerts and major universities.
If you like living outside of town where you still drive by beautiful farm fields, down to earth small town living is what you are looking for, then this is a must visit! It has many parks to enjoy family and friends. The Cotton Express bus service allows for on demand services throughout the City. Coolidge is also the home of the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument. It's the first historic site to receive protected status by the United States Government in 1892.
Whether you are looking into living in a housing community or living on acreage there are a lot of options for housing. Prices range from the mid $30,000 and up to the upper $600,000. With a wide range of types and prices of homes, there is surely something that will fit almost any budget.
